Smart 3D City Models Models that are parametric and contain data.
A 3D city model can be used to compare different urban design strategies. They can be evaluated against measures such as;
land use, population and housing densities, building height, overshadowing, view analysis, plot ratio and cost. 3D Visualisation improves Urban Design, Architecture and Urban Planning. A good example of this can be found in the redevelopment of Forrest Place.
